Propose a correction, an addition or a field story
Microfinance Life is a read-only record: there is no account, no login and no in-site edit button. Corrections, additions and community contributions arrive as GitHub issues or pull requests, and each is reviewed before anything is published.
What we accept
- A correction to a field we hold, with the source that shows the right value.
- A missing record we should include (a branch, a document, a vacancy), with the source.
- A new institution-level fact, with the source and the date it was observed.
Field stories and community activities
We warmly welcome contributions from the people who work in the sector: a branch opening or anniversary, a field visit, a community initiative, a financial-literacy session, a staff milestone, or a photograph from the field. Open an issue describing what happened, where and when, and what evidence or permission you can provide.
A maintainer reviews every proposal before publication. Nothing appears automatically, and no story is presented as an institution's official position unless the institution has confirmed it.
Consent and privacy
- Do not send client account numbers, loan balances or other personal financial details.
- For photographs or quotations of identifiable people, provide their explicit permission for publication before the material is submitted.
- Do not send sensitive personal information about clients or staff without a lawful basis and informed consent.
What we do not accept
- Unsourced factual claims, or opinion and analysis presented as fact.
- Brand assets (logos, colours) we cannot verify from the institution's own site.
- Anything that requires an account or a write endpoint on this site — there are none by design.
How to submit
Open an issue or a pull request on the project repository. Include the institution, the field, the proposed value, and the source URL plus the date you observed it. A maintainer reviews it against the evidence rules before anything is merged.
Moderation
Every contribution is reviewed before it reaches the published data. Conflicting sources are kept as disagreements, not silently resolved. Nothing is ever auto-published.
This is a read-only site by design (see docs/FROZEN-SPEC.md). Auth, sessions and an in-site write API are deliberately out of scope for V1.
