Exchange rates

The latest published Nepal Rastra Bank reference rates for the Nepalese rupee. The table keeps NRB's published unit and adds a one-unit value for the converter, because some currencies are quoted per 100 or per 10.

Asking the middle layer for the latest NRB reference rates…

Primary source

The middle layer asks the official NRB forex API for a seven-day window and uses the latest published business day. Weekends and holidays therefore show the last rate NRB actually published, not a guessed "today" value.

When NRB is unavailable

The service falls back to an indicative mid-market feed and labels every affected panel. A fallback row has no buy or sell rate because those are NRB publications, not mid-market estimates. A 24-hour stale NRB snapshot is preferred over the fallback when one exists.

Method
Abstract illustration of two columns of values with directional arrows. Decorative; it is not a chart of real data.

NPR to a foreign currency uses the published sell side; the reverse uses the buy side. When only a mid-market fallback exists, the mid is used and the result is marked as indicative.
